Description
This training course starts at 9:00 am and runs for 6.5 hours, including lunch and refreshments plus tea and coffee, concluding at 3:30 pm. Venue is in Campbelltown SA.
The course will help you develop the skills to manage your hive through the trickiest part of every beekeeping season. You will learn to identify swarming triggers, and know how to combat them to ensure that you keep your bees, and maximise your honey harvest! Please contact us with any dietary requirements
The course also covers management of pests & diseases, including varroa mite and small hive beetle. A practical hands-on look inside a working beehive, will immediately put into practice those skills and reinforce your learning. Please let me know if you need to borrow one of my beekeeping suits for the inspection and provide me with your size requirements before the training session.
You will be shown how to keep good records of your hive observations, to contribute to confident beekeeping practices.
